Meditation ~ When It Rains
While we’ve always been fans of endless summers, we wouldn’t mind putting this one behind us. Outside Las Olas’ headquarters in bone-dry California, ominous orange sky reminds us that wildfires are burning just to the south in Big Sur and north around Santa Cruz. At the same time, our surfcoach in Mexico report wading through her kitchen in knee-deep water from torrential rains.
We look to Mother Nature for balance, if not the outside world, at least within. Take a few minutes to immerse in another visual meditation by Las Olas surfcoach Aynsley. When It Rains takes us on a transformative journey to a reality beyond the one around us.

About the author: As a young girl, Aynsley’s mom introduced her to yoga to help “focus her energy”. That began her life-long interest in the practice and she eventually became a gifted teacher. Since 2008, she’s been Head Surfcoach at Las Olas Surfing for Women where she’s taught yoga to both seasoned surfers and first-ever wave riders. Originally from Canada, Aynsley now lives in southern Mexico with her daughter Rosy, husband Alex, and extended family.
